Bark grafting and honeysuckle grafting are two easy-to-learn techniques that anyone can use to graft a fruit tree themselves. In bark grafting, a copulation cut (cross-section) is first made on the scion. Then a longitudinal cut is made on the rootstock or tree to be grafted. The bark is loosened slightly on one side of the longitudinal cut and the scion is inserted. When grafting honeysuckle, two copulation cuts are made at right angles on the scion. Then a wedge is cut out on the rootstock onto which the scion is placed.
