This show exists to help people get their Amateur Radio Licenses. To get your Ham License, contact a local Ham Radio club near you. If you don’t know where that club is located, reach out to The Radio Society of Great Britain at www.rsgb.org. Click on the “Contact the RSGB” line and let them know where do you live and that you’d like to get your amateur radio license. They will send you back an email that will have a local to you amateur radio club. Contact that club. They’ll help you to get licensed and on the air! Okay, this show isn’t about putting anybody down. It is a show, however that can call out people for getting in trouble for doing things we are not supposed to do in amateur radio. As licensees, we know the rules. When we break them, sometimes there are consequences. I’ll talk about three US violations within the last year, where the FCC found the responsible parties and wants a full explanation from them about “why they did what they did.” A great rule many of us adhere to is the DX Code of Conduct. We try to act in a manner that keeps those Principles in mind whenever we transmit on the Ham Bands. I’ve included timestamps for show elements below. In closing, we agree that all of the people who were caught by the FCC are still innocent until proven guilty. 0:03 Show opening song “Trouble” by Travis Tritt Warner Bros. (full disclosure, this net is not a bad net. They unfortunately sometimes have people doing illegal things to them that disrupt them trying to make normal communications. it’s unfortunate. This channel is about educating people about the proper way to work an amateur radio. This is not how any Net is supposed to sound. The founders and operators of the net are certainly working hard to eliminate the bad actors, causing problems on this valuable net.) 24:48 How a Ham Radio Net is supposed to work.
