Acastus Loop Easy Hike

In this video, my wife and I start out at the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway and head west along the Acastus Trail to the Kyle Canyon Picnic Area. On the way back, we cross a wash to a hut on the north side of the wash and continue east along an unknown-named trail and back to the Visitor Gateway. In the Spring Mountains in Southern Nevada, this was a 3.2 mile, 2.5 hour, 412 foot elevation change hiking trip. The Acastus Trail is a little bit tricky to find starting at the Visitor Gateway. It's much easier to find starting from the Kyle Canyon Picnic Area, though there's more parking at the Visitor Gateway. It's been a little while since my last hike. I've been wrapped up with a couple of personal projects and have been having pain in my right heel. I hope to get back to more adventurous hikes soon.
