In July 2025, I took all my Airsoft replicas to the local Airsoft field, and fired with them all. This is my Airsoft collection as of early July 2025. What is the best Airsoft gun? Of course, “best” is subjective; the best Airsoft gun is the one you have the most fun with. Taking all my stuff out was also a great chance to test which replicas need maintenance, and also to directly compare the feel of a gas blowback rifle (GBBR) vs. an automatic electric gun (AEG) with simulated recoil. The MWS GBBR platform is perfect for experienced players, while a standard AEG is a solid choice for everyone. Electric blowback (EBB) AEGs add more fun than non-blowback versions, but their extra moving parts make them more prone to wear.
