But have not done so religiously. Think it could do a good job to hydrade surface areas and make them easier to scrape off. Especially if done as part of a serious routine, including fairly vigourous physical debridement too. But I don't bother to try to soften the calculus first. NOTE - 12-12-12 - Other main debridement helper is the papaine-urea-water mix. Which has been standard therapy for over 100 years. But the FDA banned all commercial products. So to make this basic mixture now use even parts of urea and papaine. Bought urea on the web. Mixing with crushed Chewable Papaya Pills. Not happy about the extra ingredients. So may just add the urea to Pinapple Juice. Cheap emulsifiers have proved problematic. Think will experiment with honey. Could also possibly go Aloe. But pretty confident with the honey. Just have to test out the extreme pain factor first. Issue is the mix dissolves dead protein. Which means geletin sounds like a poor emulsifier. But could go last minute. SUMMARY - Now believe more vigorous debridement of singular areas to completely exhaust them is the way to go. Don't wait two months for the area to fully recover. Instead go back after two weeks and keep going until the calculus is completely gone. This includes risking going in completely inside. And just hang out. Just don't scrape! Instead be a scavenger. Now switching to the Urea-Papaine debridement. With Lecithin as the emulsifier. Think it will work out great. Have already gotten good results with the water mix. And no bad reactions. Though one area did feel a little swollen. But that is to be expected.
