"xLSTM: New Architectures for Large Language Models" by Sepp Hochreiter In this talk Professor Hochreiter presents his recently published work on xLSTM, a new architecture which is supposed to challenge the dominance of transformer-based large language models. Sepp Hochreiter heads the Institute for Machine Learning and the Linz Institute of Technology AI Lab at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and is a luminary in the field of deep learning. Among many other achievements, he is best known for the invention of the LSTM algorithm, which is cited more than 100k times.
