This is a Gentleman’s gold plated Tavannes Watch Co open face pocket watch. Tavannes Watch. Tavannes Watch Co. SA. Watches, watch parts; Tavannes, La Chaux-de-Fonds, La Joux, Le Locle, Geneva and Neuchâtel, Switzerland; registered on October 3rd, 1903. The Swiss 7 jewel adjusted movement with lever escapement and balance wheel with timing screws and Breguet overcoil hairspring and patent regulator is in full working order keeping excellent time. The mint condition white enamel dial has minute markers around the outside and bold black Roman numerals and with sunken subsidiary seconds dial. Superb original blue steel spade hands and clear acrylic crystal. Superb Swiss gold plated pocket watch case with very little pocket wear, all the lids close tight as they should and the hinges are all in good condition. Splendid gold plated bow. The watch is 50 mm in diameter and weighs 79 grams.
