In this video, we take you on a peaceful and unforgettable journey through the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, combining camping in untouched nature, long scenic hikes, and an early-morning visit to the famous Hot Water Beach. After returning from a long and rewarding walk through forests and valleys, we shared dinner at our campsite while some friends stayed behind for another night under the stars. My family and I then continued our journey toward Hot Water Beach, a unique natural wonder we had carefully planned to visit at the perfect time. Based on prior research, we arrived early in the morning at sunrise, the most beautiful time for photography and videography, when the beach is quiet and the light is soft and golden. Hot Water Beach is known for its natural geothermal hot water, which can only be enjoyed during low tide. After around 10:00 a.m., the tide rises, making it difficult or impossible to access the hot pools—so timing is everything. We spent the morning enjoying the stunning coastal scenery, playing in the water, watching seabirds around the beach, observing locals digging their own hot pools with shovels, and feeling the power of the ocean waves crashing onto the shore. This video also includes useful travel tips for anyone planning to visit Hot Water Beach: go early in the morning, bring a small shovel (or rent one nearby), wear sandals or flip-flops for hot sand, and don’t forget sunscreen. From peaceful camping moments to one of New Zealand’s most unique beaches, this journey captures the true beauty and calm of Coromandel.
