Tonnta Music Ensemble perform at Saoirse | Freedom - a Trailblaze experience live at Kilmainham Gaol on Easter Monday 2017 Tonnta is a new music company creating performances that blur the lines of music, theatre, dance and live art. Named after the Irish word for waves, Tonnta is Ireland’s only dedicated new music vocal ensemble - making new waves in music. Directed by composer and vocalist Robbie Blake, the group creates honest, moving and evocative performances. Tonnta champions the work of Irish composers, giving over 25 world premieres in 2016. Expanding and evolving how contemporary classical music is made, tonight’s performance has been devised by the members of Tonnta: Michelle O’Rourke, Julie Shanley, Alma Kelliher, Shane Barriscale and Robbie Blake. www.tonnta.ie “If we fight for something, we fight for the thing we love.
