The BA Interior Architecture/Interior Design program provides students with the skills and knowledge to develop and apply creative and sustainable solutions in the field of interior architecture and interior design. The program is firmly grounded in the vibrant city of Berlin but taught exclusively in English and geared towards building an international practice. Students explore the relationship between the spatial environment and its users and inhabitants. They are encouraged to pursue experimental approaches to interiors and develop the flexibility to accommodate changing living conditions. They learn to conceptualize, plan, and realize interior spaces and communicate their ideas in shifting cultural contexts. BI provides the only "Interior Architecture/Interior Design" program taught in English in Germany that is compatible with the requirements of the Chamber of Architects*. It is the only private university whose curriculum is eligible for future registration in the Chamber of Architects. *Interior Architecture is a protected profession in Germany.
