John Carver - Tammy's 50th Birthday (August 9, 2018)

Today (August 9, 2018) is Tammy’s 50th Birthday. Earlier today I took Tammy shopping and out to dinner. Tonight, we had a little birthday cake for her (Tim could not make it as he had to work late). In this video I go back and share moments from the last several years of Tammy’s birthday (please forgive the terrible singing). This is Tammy’s second birthday without our daughter Juliana. Last week I designed a birthday card, for Tammy, to open “from Juliana.” I thought long and hard what Juliana might say as a, now, sixteen- year-old. Life is not the same without our Juliana. Later tonight, after the cake and gifts, Tammy and I just held each other and sobbed. We miss her SO MUCH! NO parent should outlive their child. “There are words like ‘orphan’, ‘widow’ and ‘widower’ in all languages. But there is no word in any language to describe a parent who loses a child.
