It’s been an awesome summer. It started out a little rainy, but that’s okay; I like it that way. Once the rain cleared the fun was still in full swing, my friends and I climbed abandoned fire towers, traversed abandoned bridges, and went camping under the stars. This summer I also was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Greece, and I am truly thankful. The history, culture, and landscapes over there are truly incredible, and it was surreal to experience it all. The one thing that’s made this summer especially memorable are my friends, without them, all of these trips would be much less fun. They keep me going. We’ve hiked through thick and thin, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. These trips will forever be engraved in my mind, and these photos I’ve taken will continue to call the memories back. If there’s one piece of advice I can give you, it’s to just get out there. That’s how you make these memories. I’m now starting a new chapter in my life: heading off to college. It’s a new environment, but no matter where I go, these memories will be with me, engraved in my heart forever. Above all else I’m thankful for God; who blessed me with this amazing summer, and I trust he will lead me through the next seasons of my life.
