Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence was proud to have a Fireside Chat with domestic violence Advocate and Survivor, Monica Paz during our 2025 Domestic Violence Awareness Launch Event on October 1, 2025. Monica is a proud Salvadoran trans woman of color, a survivor, and revolutionary advocate rooted in love for her community. From the streets of Los Angeles to the heart of San Francisco’s movements, she has turned pain into power - transforming violence, homelessness, incarceration, and systemic erasure into relentless advocacy. Serving on San Francisco’s LGBTQIA+ Advisory Board and with the HIV Advocacy Network, Monica challenges systems, expands representation, and fights to center the most marginalized in decision-making. Her mission is clear: no survivor erased, unheard, or left behind. Her work is a promise - we rise together, we heal together, and we win together.
