Sharing Best Practice: The DSPT and Dr Lucy Pollock

In March we were joined by two guests Over the coming months, DCHC will be delivering the Better Security, Better Care contract in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay to guide social care providers through the Data Security and Protection Toolkit. Richard Jackson from ClearComm firstly discussed why data security is so important for the health and social care sector and what exactly the DSPT is. Her publication “The Book About Getting Older” is a wonderful journey through her own experiences as a doctor, whilst addressing some of the key issues. From TEPs to treatment, polypharmacy to person centred care; she navigates through some of the questions that relatives and residents often find hard to ask. She’s passionate about healthy ageing and injects the same sense of humour we all find in our daily experiences in care.
