BMW i3s owners have been stuck with one expensive tyre option for years — the Bridgestone Ecopia EP500. But has that finally changed? In this video we take a first look at a brand-new alternative: the Dunlop All Season 2 in the correct 195/50 R20 and 175/55 R20 sizes. If this tyre delivers, it could finally give i3s owners a genuine alternative without compromising on the correct specification. For a long time, the biggest frustration for BMW i3s owners has been the lack of tyre choice — especially for the rear 195/50 R20 size. With Bridgestone effectively dominating the market, prices have climbed well above £200 per rear tyre in the UK. As a business preparing large numbers of BMW i3 vehicles for sale, we've spent tens of thousands of pounds on these tyres over the years, so finding a proper alternative is something we've been hoping for just as much as owners have. In this video we explore Dunlop’s new offering in detail: the All Season 2, which appears to match the original BMW specifications for load rating, speed rating and size. We take a close look at the sidewall markings, tread design, winter capability ratings and manufacturing details. We also measure the tread depth and compare it to the Bridgestone EP500, which may suggest improved longevity and value. While we haven’t tested these tyres on the road yet, this video covers everything we know so far — including availability, pricing, and what Dunlop might be planning next. If this tyre performs well in real-world driving, it could be a major development for the BMW i3 community. We’ll be fitting these tyres to an i3s shortly and will report back with a follow-up video once we’ve had time to evaluate how they perform in real-world driving conditions.
