The Motor Inn was constructed in 1959 and overlooks the old convict settlement. Rooms 33, 34 and 1 are notorious for paranormal activity. Staff have not only had their names called out while cleaning the rooms in broad daylight, but have seen black figures, found body prints on beds and witnessed electrical manipulation. In room 33/34, it is said that the spirits of children reside there and perhaps these are the black shadows that people often see, darting and playing with guests and staff alike. Room 1 is said to be haunted by a man who passed away after staying as a guest. However, it’s likely due to the rich history and human settlement, that multiple other unknown entities roam the site.
