Zavala is able to transform his trauma of Safiyah from a nightmare to a memory. Zavala is apologetic, however Safiyah reassures him by letting him know there's nothing to forgive, and that it was never his fault. Zavala parts with his wife. However, the entire ordeal has made him question his faith in the Traveler, and he's contemplating giving up on being a Guardian.
