Charlie Kirk is getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom today. right, and today would have been his 32nd birthday And Congress actually approved resolutions declaring today a national day of remembrance for Kirk. and so, while it's not actually a national holiday for many, especially those on the right, people are using the day to send tributes or discuss Charlie and his life. right, Happy birthday Charlie Kirk has been one of the top trending topics today. and actually in some places, there are events honoring him, like in Florida's capital, which is hosting a candlelight vigil. though definitely one of the biggest things is Trump awarding him the Medal of Freedom, which is the U.S. government's highest civilian honor. right, and By the time that you're listening to this, the ceremony might already be underway.
