TRIP REPORT | Tigerair Airbus A320-232 | VH-VNO | Economy | TT672 | Sydney - Coffs Harbour

Welcome aboard on my return flight on board Tigerair from Sydney to Coffs Harbour as flight TT672 which was operated by VH-VNO a 7 ½ year old Airbus A320-232. I arrived off the airport link train at the airport 2 hours before my flight so I checked in for my flight at the self-serve check in desk After going through security I had some Macca’s at the food court before I boarded my flight. After VH-VNO arrived from the Gold Coast and was on the ground refuelling we boarded her. But the front main door wouldn’t close properly so that added an extra 10 minutes of waiting I boarded her at the front of the plane and my seat was 15F which is halfway up the cabin. After we had our safety instructions and crew announcements we left Sydney in heavy rain and departed to the north on runway 34R to Coffs Harbour. 15 minutes into the flight I ordered a quick refreshment on the Tigerbites menu which was very refreshing. Our cruising was at 31,000ft at 840km/h. But we were only at the altitude for less than 10 minutes which was stupid. Descend was pretty bumpy as it felt like a roller coaster but that was over a short while later. As we approached for runway 03 to land we went over Sawtell and Toormina before making a bumpy touchdown into Coffs Harbour. Overall my flight was good we arrived on time as the captain made up 10 minutes of extra time, had a lot of bumps, drink was refreshing, flight crew were nice as usual and the leg room was good. However I’m not impressed with their altitudes they choose to fly from Sydney to Coffs Harbour cause the altitude we were at was 31,000ft but we should’ve been at like 29,000ft but 31,000ft was still a very good height although no vapour trails trail behind a plane at 31,000ft. So thank you Tigerair for taking me to Sydney and back.
