Turn off the oven and open the door about 1/4 of the way so the air inside can start cooling slowly. After leaving the cheesecake inside the cooling oven about an hour, take it out of the water bath and place it on a cooling rack for another hour or until it's room temperature, after this take it to the fridge a couple of hours or over night. This is the safest way to make sure your cheesecake wont crack, if you can't wait all this long you can speed the time and use some sort of topping to hide the cracks.
