The latest single “Upendo” by Godsave Sakafu is a contemporary gospel song about love. The song came to me during a period of meditation and prayer. I found myself bewildered by the concept of love. What is love? How are we supposed to love? How did God intend for us to love one another? Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. And with this song my agenda is that we are reminded to love not according to our terms and conditions that are largely flawed but to love in a way that God intended for us to love one another.
