Saturday was super in Las Vegas with celebrity and American muscle cars taking the top spots. The final day of the 2022 Las Vegas Auction was filled with those incredible moments that only Barrett-Jackson can provide. A 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird (Lot 734) rocked the block on Saturday, setting a new auction world record with its $1.65 million sale. The electric sale was followed by a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette 327/360 Z06 Split-Window coupe (Lot 733) for $566,500; a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Topless roadster (Lot 748) and a 1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda (Lot 752) each selling for $550,000. Other top sellers of the day, such as the 1970 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda (Lot 734.1) brought in $517,000 and a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 custom convertible (Lot 753), which sold for $385,000, showed that original and restored American iron continues to command attention at auction.
