I've really been lookin' forward to uploading this LP, ever since these recordings were originally sent to me back in early February. I've sorta been saving this video for whenever I had the time/capacity to really vocalize my thoughts on this band's material, but considering I haven't had much of a chance to write about, well, anything these past two weeks, I figure it'd be best to just get this thing out there and let the freaks get ahold of it. Montreal's Priors are damn good. Set to be released on the band's associative label, Brain Gum Records (http://braingumrecords.bigcartel.com/), Priors debut LP is absolutely compacted with upbeat, synth-infused punk harmonies, making for damn charming soundscapes that merge at the intersection between punk and twang-loaded garage rock. Another 7" is supposedly in the works -- I think we can all agree we're better off hearing it sooner rather than later.
