By popular demand, here is a video of pure bird footage captured on a LunAero unit. See how many birds you can count as they migrate. https://thousandsstrong.ou.edu/projec... The moon footage is shown on the left of the screen. This is exactly what the camera sees through the telescope. The speckles on the right side of the screen are contours LunAero has detected. The video on the right is exactly what you see on the left, but with the background subtracted so all that remains is 'movement' on the screen. There is plenty of noise in these results, but the birds flying past are pretty obvious. Doesn't the LunAero technology make seeing these birds so much easier? Occasionally, the moon seems to shiver. The recording occurred on a windy night. As the computer vision programming automatically corrects for this by centering the moon within the frame, it appears to jiggle. The music in this video is in the creative commons (CC-SA-3.0). They are recordings from Advent Chamber Orchestra. The first track used is "Entrance to the Queen of Sheba for Two Oboes, Strings, and Continuo allegro" by Handel, and the second track is "Pieces en Concert - Prelude La Tromba Air de Diable" by Couperin. http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Adv...
