This would certainly have to be one of the best charter services that has ever operated into MEL. The big whale sporting the colours of Malaysia Airlines, and also the decal denoting that this is in-fact the 100th A380 that has been delivered, which is definitely an achievement within itself for Airbus!! Back to the charter, MH8712, operated direct from here in Melbourne to Guangzhou (ZGGG) with Real Madrid on board, after they played a number of games in the International Champions Cup Australia. This is one very rare visitor to Australia, and even rarer for MEL, today being only the second time that a Malaysian A380 has visited, there was unquestionably one of the largest 'audiences' that has ever turned out for a service!
