DIY Van Bathroom - Shower, Hidden Slideout Toilet, Toilet Paper Holder | Van Build Series (Ep. 18)

In this episode of our van build series, we frame and build out our van bathroom, including a shower, niche, hidden composting toilet on a slideout drawer, and a waterproof toilet paper holder. This is the best van bathroom setup we've seen after doing hours of research on van conversions and we're happy with how it turned out! Having a shower INSIDE a van is controversial -- mainly for space reasons. But for us, we decided it was definitely something that we wanted to have. The shower niche helps utilize some space for shampoo/conditioner/shower things that would have otherwise been wasted. The hidden slideout toilet was something we decided on after we already started building the shower. We came across other vans with hidden toilets and loved the concept. One of the biggest cons we heard with van lifers who have toilets in the shower was that they rarely used their showers because they didn't want to move everything out of it every time they shower. So we're hoping this hidden toilet makes it easier to use our shower without carrying things to other areas of the van. The waterproof toilet paper dispenser was another "nice-to-have" addition that will make it convenient when we need to use the bathroom in our van. We are waiting for our Nautilus shower door to come in before we completely finish the shower.
