Camera traps are essential for wildlife research and conservation. These non-invasive tools help us observe animals in their natural habitats, providing crucial data on species presence, abundance, behaviour, and habitat use. Earlier this year, camera traps set by WTI’s Garo Green Spine project captured some interesting species in the Narang Wari Village Reserve Forest (VRF), located in the buffer zone of Balpakram National Park. This 350-hectare forest, designated as a VRF under the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), provides vital habitat for diverse species. For over 20 years, WTI has been working hand-in-hand with local communities, Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), and the State Forest Department — with support from World Land Trust, IUCN NL, HCL Foundation, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. — to reconnect fragmented forests across #Meghalaya’ #garohills #meghalaya #cameratrap #indianwildlife #wildlifeconservation #wildlifetrustofindia Support us in our ventures through a contribution: https://donation.wti.org.in/ SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/WildlifeTru...
