Earlier this summer I had a chance to participate in a remix competition hosted by my friends Disco Fries. The original was a trance-y track at 146BPM but I decided to slow it down by 15BPM and turn it into an energetic piano house track. And this is the result. I loved Alix's vocals and found an interesting loop/hook in them that gave me a bit of a nostalgic summer vibe, so I decided to lean onto it with the piano and overall feel of the track. Some people have told me that it has a 90's house feel to it which I didn't necessarily go for but I can see why with the selection of the kick, classic M1 piano and M1 organ as well. I also purposely wanted to make drums feel a bit weird to give it a distinct character. I hope you enjoy this one!
