At the start of the Lunar New Year update, I was given two containers to which I was received with a brand new ship: the German Wahnsinn, a T8 battleship. Since it's a twin variant of another German battleship, that of which being the Zieten, here are the specs and brief history from Zieten that was carried over to the Wahnsinn. History: In 1918, the Design Bureau of the Construction Office conducted a series of studies that resulted in several dozen pre-draft designs of high-speed battleships. They were based on the project of battlecruiser Ersatz Yorck and differed in displacement and armament composition. One of the projects was a ship with three main battery turrets, a displacement of 45,000 tons, and a speed of 31 knots. A very interesting turret placement as Zieten/Wahnsinn both have 1 turret in the front and 2 in the rear, chambered in 406 mm (in US, that's 16 inches, which is same caliber as the US' Iowa-class battleship); both Tier 8 ships have extremely good secondaries (a good base range of 7.6km to which using the right skills, equipment, and signal flags can be extended to a solid 11.5km which is among the best in tier) and torpedo range (12 kilometers, which is roughly 7.5 miles) in which despite slow reload being 110 seconds, its loss can be compensated for high damage from each of the 4 torpedoes its fires from each side. As demonstrated in Ultimate Frontier, the Wahnsinn (or as I call it, the Zieten Mad Max Edition), unleashes everything from all quadrants as it stuns the enemy task force in more ways than once. For context, shortly after the ship went down in blaze of glory (the "Witness" in Mad Max lore), it sunk 6 ships (1 battleship, 3 cruisers, 2 destroyers), and damaged 18 more (4 battleships, 10 cruisers, 4 destroyers), the end results to those ships being either out-of-action, on fire, or damaged whilst on the move. Enjoy the cinematic masterpiece as the German battleship pulls off several different movie references. #worldofwarships #battleship #wowsreplays #wows
