#Thavalagiriswarar hill temple #venkundramm, situated near #Vandavasi town, is a good hill for #trekking and spirituality. There are two paths to reach the top one with newly laid steps ( nearly 700 steps) and an older one without steps, later offering the best views and a few more temples on the way up. Both the paths converge in a mid-way and then there is only one path to the top, which is a bit hard as there are no proper steps. Shrine has 4 gopurams for Pillaiyar, Thavalagiriswarar, Amman, and Murugan. A small sanctum for Annamalaiyar near Murugan in the lower level. There is also a small spring at the top, water from which is used for all the rituals. A very good place for trekking and spirituality. Usually, there will not be many visiting this place but the day I've gone is a festival day, so many were started coming by the time I was returning. Visit this place as early as in the day for a beautiful sunrise view and to avoid the hot sun.
