[Coursera] IoT Wireless & Cloud Computing Emerging Technologies (Jong-Moon Chung) 정종문 연세대학교

Welcome to the course “IoT Wireless & Cloud Emerging Technologies” in Coursera (www.coursera.org), which is one of the four courses of the Coursera specialization program titled "Emerging Technologies: From Smartphones to IoT to Big Data." This course is made up of six modules. The first module “IoT Business & Products” provides an overview and forecast of the trends in North America and the world’s IoT market and industry followed by an introduction of the leading IoT companies, products, services, and the business ecosystem. The second module “IoT Architecture & Technologies” introduces the IoT architecture layers, cloud computing support, sensors & actuator types, and IoT device platforms. The third module “IoT Networks” covers the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) frequency band as well as WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network), LPWAN (Low-Power Wide Area Network), and 5G mMTC (massive MTC) technologies. The fourth module “Wi-Fi & Bluetooth” provides details on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which are the core IoT wireless network technologies. The fifth module “Cloud Technology” focuses on details of the Cloud market analysis, Cloud service types, MCC (Mobile Cloud Computing) and the key Edge Computing technologies of MEC (Mobile Edge Computing), Fog Computing, and Cloudlet. The sixth module “IoT Bluetooth & Wi-Fi & AWS EC2 Project” includes three projects on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AWS (Amazon Web Service) EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud). Overall, this course was designed to provide a comprehensive view and basic project experience of the core technologies that are used in IoT and Cloud advanced control and computing.
