Many women and children were taken by security forces to the police station for safety as mobs continued to roam the streets in UP's Bahraich on Monday, a day after violence during a Durga puja idol procession. People armed with sticks and iron rods were seen on the streets, setting fire to shops as tension escalated. Several people, whose homes and vehicles were set on fire, were bundled into vehicles and taken to safety by security personnel.
