Situated a 40 to 50 minutes drive from the urban centre of Toyama City, it strikes a rare balance, close enough for a spontaneous day trip, yet far enough to feel genuinely removed from city life. One of Ushidake's most compelling selling points is its scenery. From the top of the wide, gentle slopes, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Toyama Bay, Toyama Plain, and the Tateyama Mountain Range, one of Japan's most revered alpine backdrops. From the upper runs, guests are also treated to views of the Shinminato Ohashi Bridge, a striking sight that few ski resorts in Japan can rival. The central slope stretches two kilometres and allows skiers to enjoy both the sport and the sweeping views of the Tateyama Mountain Range and the Toyama Plain.
