Facial reconstruction specialist Dr Enrique Steiger is treating weapon-wounded patients at the ICRC's Weapon Traumatology and Training Centre (WTTC) in Tripoli. He talks about the patients, their injuries and the life-changing impact of facial reconstruction. In Lebanon, the ICRC is providing reconstructive surgery, emergency surgery and physical rehabilitation services free of charge for people who have suffered weapon wounds, regardless of their nationality or background. The WTTC also passes on war surgery skills to medical staff from the region.
