Mystic Update: Phase Two Moves Toward Completion

Phase Two of the effort to renovate the historic and picturesque Mystic River Bascule Bridge between Groton and Stonington, Connecticut, is nearing completion. Cianbro crews and subcontractors took advantage of the mild winter to complete a large amount of work to realign the 92 year old bridge, which was knocked out of alignment by a hurricane in the 1930s. Cianbro Superintendent Matt Hebert talks about the team's many accomplishments in Phase Two, which is scheduled for completion on April 15th. He also looks ahead to the final phase of work on the bridge, which will kick off after the busy tourist season is at an end.
