So.. I received a very heavy delivery. The pallet was marked 200 kg — heavy enough that the delivery driver eventually had to give up, even with a motorized pallet jack. Sure… it probably didn’t help that there was snow outside. But either way, the 1.2T excavator came in very handy, as usual. The machine shown in this video is the xTool P3. It was provided to me at no cost by xTool, but the video is not sponsored. All opinions, experiences, and conclusions in this video are entirely my own. So, in this video, I unbox, install, and put the xTool P3 laser cutter from xTool to the test by designing and making a custom sign for my workshop. The video covers the full process — from unpacking a very heavy delivery, moving it into the garage, and installing it, to testing both the machine and the software in a real-world workshop environment. Because of the weight, I use my mini excavator equipped with pallet forks to move the machine into the garage and lift it onto its rolling stand. The excavator is a 1.2-ton machine I bought directly from China, and it turned out to be the perfect tool for handling a delivery of this size. This isn’t just an unboxing — it’s a hands-on look at how the xTool P3 fits into my workshop. And honestly, this machine is going to be a huge asset for future projects. About the machine The xTool P3 is a high-power CO₂ laser cutter and engraver from xTool, designed for serious workshop use. Key features include: An 80W CO₂ laser capable of cutting and engraving a wide range of materials A large working area (approx. 36 x 18 inches) Camera-based positioning and automatic focus Support for long materials using an automatic feeding / conveyor system Active water cooling for stable performance during longer jobs In this video, I test both the hardware and the xTool Studio software, including design setup, camera alignment, engraving, cutting, and overall ease of use. If you’re considering a serious laser cutter for a home or professional workshop, this video gives a real-world first look at what it’s actually like to unbox, install, and use a machine like the xTool P3 — not just read specs on a website. 00:00 Heavy Delivery Arrives 00:43 Mounting and First Thoughts 02:53 Sketchy Lifting 04:13 Conveyor System 07:24 Cooling System 08:00 Designing a Workshop Sign
