Skip paying, and you’re likely dumped in a middle or back seat.They do this to: 1. Encourage you to pay to move 2. Keep premium seats open for paying customers 🐔 WHAT AIRLINES DO THIS? 🐔Ryanair and Wizz Air are the worst offenders, even splitting travel groups to pressure you into paying. 🐔 HOW TO PLAY 🐔Wait until most people have checked in, so only “good” seats are left. It works best on nearly full flights. 🐔 DOES IT WORK? 🐔 Yep - it’s worked over 10 times for me, with many extra legroom seats scored for free! It’s better for solo travellers, but it’s even worked when checking in with someone else too. 🐔 WHAT ABOUT EASYJET & JET2? 🐔These airlines don’t usually actively split groups, so check in early if you want to sit together. But if you’re flying solo (or don’t mind being apart) it can work - which is exactly what we’re testing today. ⚠️ THE RISKS ⚠️ 1. Forgetting to check in = a hefty airport fee 2.
