🎵 Royal Opera Masterclass with Antonio Pappano #1: Filipe Manu (Barber of Seville/Così fan tutte)

As part of our #OurHouseToYourHouse Masterclass series, Royal Opera Jette Parker Young Artist Filipe Manu is coached through arias from Rossini's The Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Così fan tutte by Music Director Antonio Pappano. This session sees Filipe rehearse 'Ecco ridente in cielo' from The Barber of Seville and 'Tradito, schernito' from Così fan tutte, accompanied by pianist Mark Packwood. The Jette Parker Young Artist programme supports the artistic development of talented singers at the beginning of their careers. Young Artists are employed as salaried members of The Royal Opera and immersed in the life of the Royal Opera House over a two-year period. The specially-tailored programme includes extensive daily coaching in languages, stagecraft and vocal techniques, alongside training for cover roles, performing in concerts and for smaller roles on the main stage.
