This lecture video considers the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics as applied to heat engines. The lecture commences with various terminology and definitions. Two numerically worked examples then essentially used to underpin the Exercises and Questions contained in the latter half of the lecture. This lecture does assume previous lectures related to 'heat energy' and 'latent heat' have been reviewed, as these contain underpinning knowledge relevant to this 'Thermal Efficiency' lecture.
