A Journey into the soul of the Earth: Footage of a magical journey to the beautiful, majestic, and amazing Amazon rainforest in Colombia. We flew 2h from Bogota to Leticia, This is a Colombian town bordering 3 countries: Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. The only access over there is by river or airplane. We stayed at the Decalodge Ticuna (Leticia) and at the Amacayacu National Natural Park located 2 hours by boat from Leticia and better known as the "River of the Hammocks" in the Quechua (native) dialect. Amacayacu is a Colombian Natural Reserve spread over 293,000 hectares and home to 150 different species of mammals, the Pink Dolphin, Victoria Regia, Lion Marmoset Monkey, with over 750 bird species, and hundred of Friar Monkeys running all over the place. The reserve hosts others species at risk of extinction such as the Brazilian tapir, jaguar, manatee, otter, and the titi leoncito (miniature monkey).
