Shiretoko National Park is a UNESCO World Hertiage Site. Located on the northeast tip of Hokkaido, this rural corner of Japan offers plenty of outdoor activities. We start in Utoro, the town which borders the park. I purchased the Shiretoko Excursion Ticket (1-Day) for all the bus transportation. Located about 50 km from the nearest train station and over 100 km from an airport, a little bit more planning needs to be done to visit this part of Japan. In addition to sharing the park, I explain how I managed to do this trip.
