Monday (7/7) was one of those full-circle moments we’ll never forget. 💙 Zac brought home a Burt Rutan Defiant—not just any airplane, but the same rare model his dad built and completed in 1987, just before Zac was born. It’s the aircraft their family flew growing up. Only 18 of these are currently registered with the FAA, so while buying a plane wasn’t on our radar, we couldn’t pass up the chance to bring a piece of Zac’s family history home. Even more special? The plane was built and owned by our friend Harry, who we met at Oshkosh—the aviation gathering that’s become such a big part of our story, too. We’re incredibly grateful to Harry for entrusting us with his incredible build—one that’s been loved, flown, and cared for so well. We promise to carry that legacy forward with new memories, new adventures, and the same admiration for this one-of-a-kind aircraft. I know Zac’s dad would be so proud of him.
