music video for cover song, Maps for the Getaway. written by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. performed by Daluz listen to more Daluz music: Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/33xAN... Apple Music - / daluz production on this cover song started a while back during a strange time. where life began to move in a direction I hadn’t seen before. if I'm honest, I chose not to. I never wanted to begin a life outside of music. I didn't desire to get comfortable in a reliable "real job". so I would just keep singing... loud enough to drown out the reality that this career could become less practical as time went by. the song, "Maps for the Getaway", originally by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness at the time was speaking of freedom. the initial reason for the adaptation was that it would be a form of celebration. to highlight the values I found in living out my dream and being as spontaneous as possible. making music at all hours of the night, or falling into a new romance anytime, and anywhere... but now the song is more of a tribute to those values. It's a love letter to the boy I was for 30 years. I still hold the motto "all we have is time" close to my heart, but now I move forward with urgency. with all that said, I went back to school and started a film career with a great production company in Los Angeles. I will keep singing, and make music... that will never change, but at this point it’s unclear if I will be investing into future releases. thank you for your support through out the 10 plus years I was able to express myself musically! anyway, I’ll leave you with a song to reflect a time when my dreams were new. my dreams are different now, and that's ok. directed & produced by Robert Daluz cinematography by David Mahmoudieh color by Bruce Bolden visual effects by Brandon Flyte & Bruce Bolden live footage at Slims in San Francisco Shot by Paul Pawlowski edited by Robert Daluz archival footage provided by Jijo Reed Archival.org Smithsonian Channel special thanks: Niko Alba Paul Buhl Nick Deuel Damian Drago Steve Hill George Lako Bret Mazur Jijo Reed Sugar Studios LA #Daluz #AndrewMcMahon #musicvideo
