📢 We are delighted and honored to welcome Dan Hill for our #40 Urban AI Conversation! 🏙️ Dan Hill is Director of Melbourne School of Design and Professor of the Built Environment. 🌍 Dan Hill's previous leadership roles include Vinnova, the Swedish government’s innovation agency, Arup in Sydney and London, the Finnish innovation fund SITRA in Helsinki, Fabrica in Italy, the Future Cities Catapult and the BBC in London. 🏛️ Dan Hill is also a Professor at UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Practice and founder member of the Council on Urban Initiatives, a joint venture between UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme), The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and UCL. 📚 He's the author of influential books such 'Dark Matter & Trojan Horses: A Strategic Design Playbook' (2012) and 'Designing Missions' (2022). 💡 Through this one-hour Urban AI Conversation, we will explore Dan Hill’s approach to strategic design, delve into his latest research at the intersection of AI and urban design, and reflect on how his concept of “The New Soft City” resonates with our work on “The Screenless City.”
