WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A John F. Kennedy Middle School teacher was denied bond for allegedly shooting her own father four times, resulting in his death on Tuesday morning. According to the probable cause affidavit, 43-year-old Leah Scott was visiting her aunt and uncle, who live along the 4100 block of Hayden Avenue, when she saw her father, 75-year-old Leroy Scott, doing handywork at a home nearby. The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said that Scott approached her father in the driveway and exchanged words for about ten seconds before she drew a handgun from her waistband. She allegedly followed her father down the driveway from behind and ambushed him, firing a shot, causing him to fall to the ground. The report states that as Scott's father fell to the ground and turned to face her, she fired a second shot, then stood over him and fired two more shots "straight down" into her father.
