Achensee Lake | The Austrian Experience

Achensee lake was by far, the most memorable place we visited on our epic backpacking trip through Europe. We found this place on google maps, and once we saw a picture of that lake, we knew we had to make it there. Just a short train ride away from Innsbruck, the Achensee region is a getaway for everyone. Our AirBnb sat right at the base of the mountain and overlooked the lake as well. We were able to hike right out the back of our place to the trails. It was an experience I'll never forget, and honestly can't wait to go back.
