This was difficult to watch, let alone upload, but I think people need to see it. Found this footage from 2019 while going through my wife's camera. I was roughly 24 hours into acute withdrawal and hadn't slept or eaten for several days. As you can see, I am fatigued, disoriented, manic, and experiencing many physiological symptoms such as cold chills, hot flashes, stomach cramps, dysregulated nervous system, etc. A few days later I overdosed and was arrested for DWI, ultimately leading to my 4th (and final) admission to an inpatient rehabilitation center. Fast forward a little over four years from this video - I am married, have a 15-month-old son, and work as a licensed clinical addiction specialist in South Carolina.
