I come from a simple middle-class joint family of Odisha where traditional, cultural, and religious values are honoured above all. Humanity is our biggest dharma, and discrimination has no place in our lives. As children, our parents happily sacrificed their own dreams and comforts just to see us smile, grow, and succeed. They gave up their happiness so that ours could blossom. While shooting for my movie “CHARDHAM – A Journey Within”, I was blessed with a moment that touched me deeply—I saw my dearest Mother (Mami) happy, smiling, and living like a carefree child once again about which i had only heard in my childhood, but never experienced before that very moment ! Sitting with her on a local toy train in Dwarka brought back memories of how our parents once made us sit in toy trains and real trains, teaching us the beauty of simple joys. At that moment, I saw the little girl hidden inside her, buried for years under the weight of responsibilities and duties. It was a realization that I should have come to much earlier. This was only possible because of my beloved wife, who stood by me and captured these priceless moments, and my younger brother and his family, who always support me like a rock. 🙏🏻My humble appeal to every son and daughter in the world: step away from the fake illusions of worldly life. Spend time with your parents, love them, care for them, and give them the happiness they once gave you. That is the real truth of life.
