al-Imaam al-Ustaadh Abdul Qaadir ibn Tahir at-Tamimiyy al-Baghdadiyy also known as Abu Mansur al-Baghdadiyy. Abu Mansur al-Baghdadiyy mentions the consensus that Allah exists without a place. He said in his book al-Farq Bayn al-Firaq الفرق بين الفرق وَ أَجْمَعُوْا عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يَحْوِيْهِ مَكَانٌ وَلَا يَجْرِي عَلَيْهِ زَمَانٌ “They agreed that Allah is not contained by place and time does not elapse onto Him” Imam Ali said إن الله خلق العرش إظهارا لقدرته ولم يتخذه مكانا لذاته “Allah created the throne as an indication of his power and did not create it as a place for himself” Imam Ali also said: كان الله ولا مكان وهو الآن على ما عليه كان “Allah existed and there was no place, and He is as He was”
