The light is powered by USB and comes with about 1.5m of cable with a small backlit control box midway. The control box allows the user to scroll through the ten brightness levels and three colour temperature levels – warm white, daylight, and cool white – as well as turn the unit off and on. The clamp works well, is very secure with the ball and socket adjustable mount equally well made. I found that the mount strong enough to be easily be repurposed as a camera mount for Arlo and similar indoor/outdoor security cameras and lights. The is a nice little unit, well made and well designed, larger in size than most rivals and works well with a minimum of fuss and bother. The only thing lacking is a carry case but for the bargain basement price, you can’t have everything.
